Sleep Apnea Oral Appliances

For some patients, a custom oral appliance is a comfortable alternative to CPAP and can quiet snoring and improve sleep.

How it works

A custom-fitted oral appliance gently moves your lower jaw forward while you sleep, opening the airway. For mild-to-moderate obstructive sleep apnea, it can be effective — and many patients find it easier to wear consistently than a CPAP machine.

Working with your physician

A sleep apnea diagnosis comes from a sleep study and your physician. If you’ve been diagnosed and your physician thinks an oral appliance could work for you, Dr. Chaudhry can fit you with one and follow up to make sure it’s helping.

If you’re not sure

Loud snoring, daytime tiredness, and waking up gasping are worth bringing up at your next visit. If a sleep evaluation makes sense, we’ll point you in the right direction.
